This is the perfect walk to get you out of the house without being too hard
The kids went back to school this week and it's probably a given they'll be tired from all the excitement of being back at school.
This circular walk visits Kentmere Reservoir from the village of Kentmere in the Lake District. You start off from Kentmere where you can follow public footpaths north to the reservoir.It's about a 2.5-mile walk to the water, following the River Kent on a gently ascending path making it the perfect easy walk for the weekend. Once you're done you can hop in the car to a 'proper pub' less than 15 minutes away.
The website explains: "We are a Lake District pub with accommodation, ideally placed for exploring the rest of the Lakes. We are only a few minutes away from the beautiful Kentmere valley and the bustling towns of Windermere and Kendal.
