The rainy weather has resulted in severe damage to homes and the flooding of roads and bridges across the region.The ADM has issued a crucial warning to local residents. Urging them to stay vigilant and avoid attempting to cross overflowing bridges, roads, and rivers. The municipality’s disaster teams are actively assessing the extent of the damage in collaboration with local councillors.
“Affected communities have been encouraged to report damages to their ward councillors. To expedite the ADM’s disaster response efforts,” according to Nonceba Madikizela-Vuso, the municipal spokesperson.has also raised concerns, calling on motorists to exercise caution during heavy rainfall. Many roads in the area have been adversely affected, leading to road closures.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant. They also urged to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during these challenging weather conditions.
