Easterlies to bring isolated rains over Metro Manila, rest of the country —PAGASA

The easterlies, or the warm and humid air from the Pacific Ocean, will continue to affect the eastern section of the Philippines, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

Based on its 24-hour public forecast, the agency said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies and the localized thunderstorms.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail in Batanes and Babuyan due to the shear line.Moderate to strong winds will blow over extreme Northern Luzon and will be accompanied by moderate to rough waters. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds and light to moderate coastal waters.

The maximum temperature reached 33.7°C at 2 p.m. while the minimum temperature was at 23.2°C at 6 a.m.
