EastEnders star Patsy Kensit is set to make her return to the hit BBC soap in September – her character, Emma Harding, will revisit Albert Square following the death of Lola Pearce
EastEnders is set to shake things up once again next month, as the show's apparent penchant for nostalgic comebacks continues.Patsy, 55, made her exit from the show back in March 2023, during a fundraiser for her character’s daughter Lola, who had a terminal brain tumour.Sources told The Mirror that Emma would be in and out of storylines in Walford.
"Patsy has really impressed the bosses, and is a big hit with the rest of the cast. She loves the show too, so she was thrilled to be asked to return as Emma. She had thought her cameo appearance at Lola’s funeral was her last on the Square." EastEnders executive producer Chris Clenshaw didn’t hold back about his high opinions of the actress’ appearance at the time as he explained: "We’re delighted to welcome the wonderfully talented Patsy to the EastEnders family. She’s the perfect fit to take on the role of such a long-awaited character that we know very little about.
After leaving EastEnders in 2022, Patsy Kensit sparked concerns for her health when she revealed that she was suffering with a chest infection.
