EastEnders icon Annette Badland, who fans will remember as Aunt Babe, is set to appear in Casualty for Charlie Fairhead's final episode on Saturday . She'll be playing Charge Nurse Shirley in special flashback scenes from the 1980s.
In current times, Charlie's life hangs in the balance after he was stabbed by a patient trying to steal Holby General's medical supplies. And, as he battles for his life, viewers will be transported back to the 1980s through flashbacks featuring Annette, reports the Daily Star. The following Saturday will then see a double episode named 'Breaking Point' which will kick off the next batch of storylines for the show. There's been lots of whispers about what's next for Casualty, as it's rumoured that cast and crew were told only two more years of the show would be made.
