EastEnders fans devastated as iconic character leaves Albert Square after Mick disappearance
EastEnders fans were left devastated on Thursday as Shirley Carter made an emotional exit from Albert Square after Mick Carter's disappearance.
Mick tried to save his ex-wife Linda Carter, who he had just reunited with, after she and Janine Butcher drove off a cliff and into the English Channel, where he disappeared at sea. However, soap watchers need not worry as Shirley, played by Linda Henry, isn't gone for good and will be coming back at some point in the future.During the emotional scenes on Thursday, Shirley told a tearful Jean Slater: "I've just come to say goodbye. There's nothing here for me anymore, just bad memories.
Taking to Twitter, soap watchers were left devastated over the scenes as they questioned whether Shirley star Linda Henry was leaving for good, although this is not the case.A different shocked account put: "NO SHIRLEY CANT LEAVE? #EastEnders."
