The toddler was found with bound ankles and bruises and died 'from significant injuries caused by multiple impacts'
An East Texas mother was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after she was found guilty of murdering her 19-month-old son. Hanna Ruth Moses , 35, was found guilty on Thursday of murdering her son Thomas Blake Rogers , the Nacogdoches Assistant District Attorney’s Office said in a release sent to the news station KETK . The mother had a history of neglecting the child in the year leading up to Rogers' death.
In May 2022, Moses called 911 and said her son was not breathing, adding that she had attempted CPR for 30 minutes before calling emergency services. First responders arrived and found the child unresponsive, wet and bound tightly by his ankles with a shoestring, the news station reported. The toddler was sent to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, where staff found significant bleeding in his brain and bruises developing all over the boy's body.
