Four years after its initial announcement, Netflix's East of Eden TV series gets a first look teaser trailer featuring Florence Pugh.
Four years after its original announcement in 2022, Zoe Kazan’s ambitious adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic 1952 novelThe East of Eden teaser trailer throws light on Netflix’s limited series, which is a modern “interpretation of Steinbeck’s masterpiece” and “explores the timeless story of good & evil through the multigenerational saga of the Trask family and its chilling, indelible antihero, Cathy Ames.
” Florence Pugh plays Cathy alongside Abbott as Adam Trask and Faist as Charles Trask. Other key cast members include Tracy Letts as Cyrus Trask, Martha Plimpton as Faye, Ciarán Hinds as Samuel Hamilton, Joseph Zada as Cal Trask, and Joe Anders as Aron Trask. Fifth Season and Anonymous Content are the primary studios behind the seven-episode TV series. Zoe Kazan serves as a co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer, alongside Jeb Stuart, who also co-showruns and executive produces the show.
Speaking of directors, Garth Davis will helm the first four episodes, while Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre will direct the remaining three episodes, who are also serving as the executive producers. Additional executive producers include Pugh, Antoine Douiahy, Zack Hayden, Steve Golin, David Levine, and Jill Arthur. As for Pugh, the acclaimed actress has two other highly anticipated projects lined up for 2026. The Oppenheimer star will be seen in two big movies later this year.
