The winners of the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) were announced on Sunday, October 6 in London and only three Scottish entries were named with one hidden gem near Glasgow.

A hidden gem Japanese restaurant near Glasgow has just been named one of the top restaurants in the UK.

The awards, which were named at a glittering event in London on Sunday, October 6, also saw Monsoona Healthy Indian Cuisine Aberdeen crowned Scotland's Restaurant of the Year and Gurkha Kitchen in Fraserburgh take the title of Scotland Takeaway of the Year. Speaking about their award win, the team at Yakitori said: "We won the big one. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing customers, who have supported us every step of the way.

"This award is just the beginning – we will continue striving for excellence, not only in our food but in the warm, welcoming experience we offer to each of you. Here’s to even more memorable moments together."
