Two East Kilbride councillors have been shortlisted for prestigious national awards for their dedication to their community.

An Independent councillor since 1992, Cllr Watson is shortlisted for the Lifetime Legend award for consistently championing his constituents and his strong track record in successful campaigns. Jonathan Carr-West, Chief Executive of LGIU Scotland, said: "In the face of unprecedented domestic and global challenges over the last year, councillors nationwide have once again exhibited unwavering dedication to serving their constituents.
