Channelview community in east Houston cheers on native son Jalen Hurts ahead of Super Bowl

Even diehard Eagles fans seem to appreciate Hurts more for his character than his ability on the gridiron. James Swanson, a fellow Channelview High School alumnus and longtime Eagles fan, is part of the Houston Eagles Nest fan clubon Shepherd. He said Hurts is"a great QB but a better person." "For his age, he seems real mature when he talks to the media. He keeps everything in perspective and is always thinking of other people, and I really appreciate that more than just him being a good quarterback," Swanson said.
