CLEVELAND, Ohio - An East Cleveland police officer was found guilty of several criminal charges after a jury trial in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Ian McInnes, 41, was convicted of one count of attempted felonious assault, three counts of assault, three counts of interfering with civil rights, and three counts of dereliction of duty.According to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley, the alleged crimes happened between February 2020 and July 2022 and there were multiple victims.Mantua police officer plans to file lawsuit against Portage Co.
