The bike shelter also has five solitary bee hives on top that are designed to help the bee population in the area by acting as a"small bug hotel".It has been painted by local artist Blaze FX and was officially opened by East Belfast UUP MLA Andy Allen before the members cycled off to school. "The five beehives on top are designed to be like bug hotels, where the bees are able to stop off when away from their hive and hopefully help their population in the area.
