Chen was convicted of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick III sentenced her to two years in prison on March 30. He also ordered her to pay $1.2 million to the victims. The Marin County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion for the local case to be dismissed, and Judge Kelly Simmons granted it on Thursday.
