Voters in some southeast Georgia counties have about a week to cast an early, in-person ballot ahead of the June 18 primary runoff election.
A person votes at a polling site for the presidential primary election on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Atlanta. Early voting is getting underway in some southeast Georgia counties ahead of the June 18 primary runoff election day.
The deadline to register to vote in the primary was May 20. Georgia does not register voters by party, so in the May primary, they could choose from a Democratic, Republican, or non-partisan ballot. However, if a voter chose a Democratic ballot in the May primary, they will not be able to choose a Republican ballot in the runoff, and vice-versa. Voters who did not vote in May or chose a non-partisan ballot are free to choose which ballot they want for the runoff.
