COLLEGE STATION — Five-star defensive lineman Lebbeus Overton decided he wanted to graduate from high school a year early. Texas A&M benefitted greatly from his decision.
Overton of Alpharetta, Ga., on Friday afternoon announced he has picked the Aggies over Georgia and Oregon. He was the No. 1 rated prospect in the nation in the class of 2023 before switching to the class of 2022, where he now checks in at No. 18 overall via 247Sports.com. A&M under fifth-year coach Jimbo Fisher already had the nation’s top-ranked class in 2022, and Overton becomes the eighth five-star signee for the Aggies. He’s expected to arrive to College Station this summer following graduation from Milton High in Alpharetta.
Overton is the fourth five-star defensive lineman in the group, as well, joining Walter Nolen, Shemar Stewart and Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy.
