Concept artist Jared Krichevsky has revealed early DC concept designs of Drake as the JusticeLeague hero Cyborg, since the rapper was apparently briefly considered to star in a DC TV series that never happened.😮

New concept art for a scrapped DC TV show casts rapper Drake as Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg. Over the last few decades, Warner Bros. has brought multiple DC heroes and villains to life onscreen. The studio officially began its own cinematic universe back in 2013, which became known as the DCEU. As Warner Bros. was looking at bringing the Justice League to the big screen, it meant establishing several iconic members.

As Zack Snyder was assembling his Justice League, the filmmaker ended up casting Ray Fisher as the first cinematic Cyborg. Fisher made his first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as a setup for his more prominent role in Justice League. The plan was also to have Fisher star in his own Cyborg movie, as part of the original slate that Warner Bros. presented in October 2014. While the feature film never happened, Warner Bros.

Due to the amount of attention that Krichevsky's post has received, he clarified that the design note he received was only to make DC's Cyborg"look like" Drake, since the studio was considering casting the actor/rapper for the cancelled DC TV in development. Whether or not Warner Bros. approached Drake, or even had conversations with him for the part, is unclear.

Until Krichevsky comments any further, or Drake himself is asked about it, it will likely never be confirmed what mysterious Cyborg project Warner Bros. was developing. Even though Drake's Cyborg casting never happened, Victor has become a prominent DC TV player as Joivan Wade has been portraying him on HBO Max's Doom Patrol for over three seasons.
