Eamonn Holmes has hit out at the latest comments by ex-This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield, who claimed those criticising him were guilty of nursing a grudge.
In a story on Instagram on Monday morning, Phillip Schofield said: "Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this. I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice. "But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it IS a family of wonderful, talented, kind and hardworking people."
In a statement following Phillip Schofield announcing his resignation, ITV said: "We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield.
