The Eagles looked like a team not happy with how the first day of joint practices went.
Two of the good plays by Watson came with flags, the first in favor of the Browns when he and tight end David Njoku drew a pass interference call in the back of the end zone. The other came on a good throw from Watson to Donovan Peoples-Jones in the red zone on a slant that carried Peoples-Jones in for a score. It was negated by a hands to the face call.
The Browns still need to figure it out, how to make sure they’re the team sending the message on Day 2 of joint practices. * Martin Emerson Jr. had a mixed day. He made a nice play going against A.J. Brown on a deep throw but was flagged for illegal contact at the start of the play. * There were definitely moments over the course of the two days when Hurts didn’t look comfortable with what he was seeing downfield. The Eagles hit on some plays, but overall, the Browns secondary came out of these practices in good shape.
