The time of an Eagles game against an AFC opponent has been changed in favor of a matchup that involves a team from the NFC East.
games in the last two seasons have been either in primetime or during the late afternoon window, with the league trying to highlight the team’s players, especially on offense. However, one of the team’s upcoming games is shifting from the late afternoon window and will be played earlier.
The NFL announced Tuesday that the Oct. 27 game against the Cincinnati Bengals has been moved from a 4:25 p.m. start to 1 p.m. The 4:25 p.m. slot will now feature the Chicago Bears visiting the Washington Commanders. Before the season began, the game between the Eagles and Bengals appeared to be one of the most anticipated of the season, especially with the potentialof the Eagles, and Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins of the Bengals—squaring off in what could have been a shootout. However, the Bengals currently have a 2-4 record after defeating the Giants this past Monday night, while the Eagles hold a 3-2 record.
