Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert injured his forearm in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys.
. Their offense will be tested now because Goedert left the field during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys and will not return, according to the Eagles.found Goedert open on a run-pass option, with Goedert catching the ball and proceeding to run for a 28-yard gain. As Goedert was being tackled by Cowboys safety and Bridgeton native Markquese Bell, his arm was interlocked with Bell, and Goedert was on his elbow with the weight of both players on it.
Goedert remained down for a couple of minutes before getting up and immediately heading into the locker room, where he stayed and has yet to return. Goedert has three catches for 50 yards. The Eagles are thin at the tight end spot becauseremains in concussion protocol, leaving Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam as the only available ones. Stoll has experience playing in significant moments, having replaced Goedert last season when Goedert suffered a shoulder injury.
The Eagles could be forced to use more “11″ personnel, or three wide receivers and one running back formations without Goedert. In that scenario, the team could use either Olamide Zaccheaus or Julio Jones to run the routes that Goedert typically runs in the middle of the field.Thank you for relying on us to provide the journalism you can trust.
