Eagles' training camp observations from Day 3.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts throws a pass during practice at the team’s NFL football training camp, Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Philadelphia.Perhaps Ringo could have turned his head quicker to be in better position, but even that wouldn’t have been enough to prevent the catch, as the ball was placed where only Brown could get it.

Hurts had as many negative plays as positive ones, a stark contrast to the first two practices where he was sharp. From the first team period to the last one, Hurts aggressively attacked different parts of the field and missed his targets.Soon after, Hurts had Brown slightly open — Ringo had tight coverage again — deep toward the left sideline, but his pass fell considerably short.for a red-zone touchdown. He finished that drive on a positive note when he completed a tight-window TD to Smith, pastIt’s only training camp, so a couple of rough practices here and there are nothing to worry about, especially when Hurts has been consistent all spring and summer up to this point.and guard Kenyon Green were limited participants. Through three practices with that designation, Campbell and Jurgens have both participated in team drills and don’t seem too limited. Campbell received first-team reps on Saturday and more will be thrown on his plate soon.Mitchell, who might travel with No. 1 wide receivers this season, continues to steal the show, making life difficult on Smith, who is one of the best No. 2 wide receivers in the NFL. Goedert had a strong day, beating Mukuba and Jackson for two catches in the middle of the field, and nearly caught a touchdown from Hurts.got in the backfield multiple times, including for a sack in the red zone. The Eagles need Ojomo to help replace Milton Williams’ production, and so far, the signs are good. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee sailed a pass to Avery Williams in the right corner of the end zone, but he also completed difficult throws to Johnny Wilson and Danny Gray.were mixed, too. But he ended practice with a fantastic, over-the-shoulder completion to wide receiver Elijah Cooks, drawing the explicit reaction of Gray, who stormed down the field to pump up Cooks and trash- talk cornerback, the undrafted rookie who was beaten. Mayes had good coverage, but he is three inches shorter than Cooks and was unable to out jump him. Cooks contorted his body while in the air, so it was a great catch too. His underrated name to keep an eye on in the wide receiver battle., Mukuba collided with Gray at the end of practice, went to the sidelines and was checked by a trainer. His status is worth monitoring. How ‘resilient’ Eagles star pushes through his bad days to improve: ‘It’s frustration’NFL Week 1 odds and best bets to make today for Jets, Giants and Eagles Thank you for relying on us to provide the journalism you can trust.
