Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean is questionable to return in Week 16 with a hamstring injury.
Jalen Hurts, Cam Jurgens, Dallas Goedert, and Jaelan Phillips were all asked about the Eagles’ opportunity to clinch the NFC East with a win over the Commanders in Week 16. LANDOVER, Md. — Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean is questionable to return in Week 16 with a hamstring injury.
Dean, 25, came down awkwardly in the first quarter and had to leave the game. Dean took a trip to the blue medical tent before walking toward the locker room.Rookie first-round pick Jihaad Campbell replaced Dean. Campbell began the season as the starter next to Zack Baun but Dean eventually returned off the PUP list and has played at a very high level since returning to the defense in Week 7. Coming into the weekend, Dean had played in eight games on defense this year. In those games, Dean has 53 tackles, 4 sacks, 6 QB hits and 2 forced fumbles. Dean has been playing well enough to earn the full-time starting role back from Campbell, who was playing well early this season. Over the last couple of weeks, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has made an effort to get Campbell some snaps. Campbell played 15 snaps over the last two weeks after he didn’t see the field on defense against the Bears.
