Dean emphasizes the importance of helping others and spreading love during the holiday season.
How did Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean spend his off day after a physically taxing win over the Pittsburgh Steelers? By spreading holiday cheer.
First, Dean and his Kind Hearts Foundation hosted a toy drive at the Jordan Family Learning Center in“Ever since I was a child, my mother always instilled in me that helping others who are less fortunate than you is the ultimate form of humanity,” Dean told The Inquirer via text. “In order to receive blessings, you must first give them. This is what my Kind Hearts Foundation is all about.”
Dean saved his most personal gift for Latorian Harris, a single mother of five, as he and his family arrived at Harris’ Philadelphia home Tuesday night with gifts for her and her children. “We just want to make sure that we show love,” Neketta Dean, Nakobe Dean’s mother, told the family. “We wanted to show love to y’all in the community.”With Harris and her family preparing to move in a couple of weeks, the gifts will go a long way toward making sure the children have a happy holiday.
