And if that happens, he would consider ranking this defense over the 1991 team, which missed the playoffs.
Allen is concerned the Eagles’ current defense does not have a pass rusher who can make the “dagger plays,” but he does have confidence Philadelphia’s secondary can take away the opposing team’s best wide receivers and force quarterbacks to hold the ball longer, giving its edge rushers more time to get to the QB, in this case Matthew Stafford.
