The Philadelphia Eagles shored up their secondary Monday acquiring safety Kevin Byard in a trade with the Tennessee Titans, according to reports.
The Eagles shipped safety Terrell Edmunds and fifth and sixth round draft picks to Tennessee in the swap, NFL's Ian Rappaport said.
Byard, a Philadelphia native, has 47 tackles in six games this season. In eight professional seasons, the 30-year-old has collected 27 interceptions. Byard lead the league in interceptions with 8 as a member of the Titans in 2017, and earned two Pro Bowl nods. Philadelphia signed Edmunds, 26, as a free agent before the start of the season. He started just two games for the Eagles with one fumble recovery.
The NFL trade deadline is eight days away. Teams will have until 4 p.m. Halloween night to make their final acquisitions to bolster their rosters this season.that I have read and agree
