Eagle Pass will be one of the first cities in the country to experience totality. Due to Shelby Park’s National Guard occupation, events have changed location.

“Here in Eagle Pass, I mean it’s a wild guess but we’re hoping roughly anywhere from 50 to 100 thousand,” said Arturo Marquez, Economic Development Director for the City of Eagle Pass. The city will still be organizing the 57th South Music Fest, which will last three days and be hosted at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino.
