Goalkeeper Steve Clark has logged seven of the Dynamo's 10 cleans sheets this year across all competitions.As familiar as San Jose might be with the Dynamo, the Earthquakes are headed to one of the most challenging venues in MLS when the teams meet for the second time at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shell Energy Stadium.

“They're a tricky team,” Dynamo coach Ben Olsen said of the Earthquakes. “They're well-coached, and on both sides of the ball they have some wrinkles that we have to be cautious of. But hopefully, our home energy and form gets us through.” Bassi also is one of eight different players among those scoring 17 goals for the Dynamo in their last seven games in all competitions. He leads the squad with eight goals, to go with two assists, and has been taking on a more central role as of late.

“He had to do that again in L.A., so he's a versatile guy for us,” Olsen said. “He’s probably best off as a forward making those final actions for us. We know he can play in a bunch of different spots. He's selfless, and he's a good teammate.”
