Padres pitcher Dylan Cease celebrates the first no-hitter of his career Thursday after a few close calls. He had to talk his manager into letting him stay in the game: “Thankfully, they let me talk him into it,” Cease said. “And then, he we are.” All no-hitters are improbable, but the one San Diego Padres’ right-hander Dylan Cease spun Thursday afternoon was especially unlikely at around 12:14 p.m.
