In the new few weeks, households eligible for the next instalment will be receiving £300 from the DWP
Eligible households across the UK will soon be receiving their second round of the Cost of Living Payments. The payments were introduced last year by the government to help deal with the cost of living crisis, and the scheme has seen millions of households receiving instalments from the Department for Work and Pensions.
. These payments will be sent directly to recipients between Tuesday, October 31 and Sunday, November 19, reports Wales Online. However, Tax Credits only claimants that do not qualify for payments from the DWP will be receiving a £300 payment from HMRC between Friday, November 10 and Sunday, November 19. This payment is also automatic and the payment reference for bank accounts will be the recipient's National Insurance number followed by a DWP COL or HMRC COLS.
This is the second of three payments being made, which have a total of up to £900 for those eligible and on means-tested benefits. This includes Universal Credit and Pension credit for the year 2023/24. Eligible pensioner households will also receive an additional £300 payment later this as an add-on to the Winter Fuel Payment.
