The rate changes have been published

A pay increase has been confirmed by the Department for Work and Pensions for Personal Independence Payment , Disability Living Allowance and Adult Disability Payment . The boost could see claimants receiving regular payments every four weeks of between £107.60 and £691.

In November's Autumn Statement, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed that the state pension and benefits will increase by 10.1%, reflecting September 2022's inflation rate according to the Consumer Price Index . The rise is due to come into effect this April. At present, claimants can receive between £97.80 and £627.60 every payment period. This means a monthly increase of up to £63.40. However, the Daily Record warns that it is important to be aware that those figures represent the minimum award possible - a single award for the lower rate mobility only, and the highest awards for both the daily care and mobility components.

The proposed payment rate changes have been published by DWP on GOV.UK here and will come into effect on April 10.
