'Ladies and Gentlemen, I want you to take a look at our next big jam,' Johnson said as he announced his new Monster Jam film.
During Disney's D23 2024 release event on Friday night, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson announced that his next project with Disney would be a live-action film about Monster Jam. The working title for the film is simply Monster Jam, following in Apple's and Brad Pitt's F1 footsteps. A release date is not yet known, but the project is currently in production. The Rock referenced his love of his pickup trucks and motorsports as the catalyst for making this film.
' Then pyrotechnics went off on stage, and the screen then showed clips from the most recent Monster Jam season, which concluded their World Finals on May 18th at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.The Disney and Monster Jam connection isn't much of a reach when you realize that Disney on Ice and Monster Jam are both part of the Feld Entertainment umbrella based in Tampa, Florida, just 90 minutes away from Disney World.
