The Netherlands began its first stage of a five-part pathway out of lockdown on Monday as libraries, hairdressers, nail bars, beauticians and massage salons were allowed to reopen.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said ‘headway’ had been made in reducing coronavirus infections and deaths down. A further 200 infections and 53 deaths were recorded in Holland over the past 24 hours bringing the total to 43,880 positive tests for coronavirus and more than 5,500 deaths.
