The PSL announced on Wednesday that this year’s MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC will be played in Durban.
’s Moses Mabhida Stadium beat out bids from various provinces, including Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Mpumalanga to host the final.
The news will be welcomed by Steve Barker’s team, who have used Moses Mabhida as their home away from home due to the Danie Craven Stadium, Athlone Stadium and the Cape Town Stadium being unavailable due to a number of rugby games, including the Springboks’ huge clash last weekend against the All Blacks.
“The highly anticipated MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Stellenbosch FC will take place on Saturday, 05 October 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. “Further details regarding kick-off time, ticketing, and other logistical arrangements will be announced by the PSL in due course.”
