Duque denies delay in procurement of PPEs for health workers amid COVID19 pandemic
MANILA - Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Monday said his agency placed an order for personal protective equipment for the country's healthcare workers as early as February, denying allegations that there were delays in procurement of said PPEs and other medical gear.
"Pero sa totoo lang po, as early as February, tayo po ay nakapaglagay na ng procurement order with the Philippine International Trading Corporation, isa pong attached agency ng DTI at talagang namroblema lang tayo sa supply," he explained Duque, likewise, said his office will be submitting all documents regarding its procurement process to the Office of the Ombudsman.
