A woman who filmed herself arguing with the police after she verbally abused a hospital staff member was sentenced to five weeks and five days’ jail and fined S$600 on Wednesday.
KUALA LUMPUR: Two men pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate’s Court here Thursday to charges of extortion and wrongful imprisoning their former co-worker at a nightclub last week.
The charges, under Section 385 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same code allows for a maximum of seven years’ jail or fine or caning or any of the two punishments if convicted.
