An alternative plan for Dundee vs Rangers has emerged, with a fellow Scottish Premiership club 'agreeing' to host if the Dens Park pitch fails…
St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park has emerged as a possible option if Dundee's pitch is defeated by the weather again next week.
That left Rangers fuming and now a pitch inspection is scheduled for mid-morning on Tuesday 16 April at Dens Park to assess the conditions ahead of the proposed 8pm kick-off on Wednesday. But if that fails then plan B may be implemented, which could see Philippe Clement's side travel to Perth instead for this re-arranged encounter., but they have ultimately struck a deal with St Johnstone, who are prepared to serve as hosts for the final league match before the split, if necessary.
