Ferguson is back in the dugout after an ill-fated first spell in management at Forest Green Rovers.
The former Scotland, Rangers, Everton and Newcastle United striker was unveiled as the new boss of the Scottish Championship after they sacked Billy Dodds after a poor start to the campaign, despite the axed boss leading the Highlanders to the Scottish Cup final against Celtic last season. Ferguson currently has only one full-time managerial role stint under his belt, which comes in the form of his ill-fated reign at Forest Green.
Following the dismissal of Marco Silva as Everton boss in 2019, Ferguson was had a spell as interim manager at Goodison Park. Following his appointed at the Caledonian Stadium, a club statement read: "Duncan has worked alongside some of the most respected and outstanding football coaches in the world in recent seasons and we are proud to have him join ICTFC as our new Manager.
