Zuma took to the field for the first time since 15 May 2021 when he featured as a second-half substitute in Kaizer Chiefs' 1-0 DStv Premiership defeat to Stellenbosch FC.late last year for an off-field incident but was handed a rare opportunity by interim coach Arthur Zwane at the Danie Craven Stadium.
Having replaced Sabelo Radebe with around half an hour still to play, Zuma delivered an assured performance, albeit without him being able to influence the outcome of the encounter.."I haven't been playing for the past 10 months and I felt the nerves. "I was scared a bit, it's been a long since I last played, but after 10 minutes in the game, everything felt fine. The first ball I received I was thinking to play it safe and not make mistakes, but after a few minutes I was comfortable and could be the Zuma people know."
