A judge has reportedly ruled that a Duke with an estimated net worth of more than £180m should have his luxury-spec Porsche seized after he failed to keep up with payments on it.
A £132,000 Porsche can be seized from the Duke of Marlborough after he stopped keeping up with payments for it, a judge has reportedly ruled.
Charles Spencer-Churchill was reported to boast a £188 million fortune in land and art in 2019 and owns 187-room Blenheim Palace.But the peer was taken to court by VW Financial Services which claimed he had stopped keeping up with payments after paying just more than half, theHe ‘paid £67,721.64 for the Cayenne EST Turbo Tip S car – equating to little over half of the vehicle’s total price of £132,194.34’. This allegedly left an outstanding balance of £64,472.70 to pay.
The lender said a default notice was served last September over unpaid instalments, court papers revealed, adding: ‘The agreement was then effectively terminated in November.’Charles Spencer-Churchill owns 187-room Blenheim Palace in Oxford The defendant, 66, has refused and/or failed to do so,’ the firm claims.
