Duffy bravely shares her story
Duffy has bravely released more details on the heartbreaking ordeal of when she was drugged, raped and held captive for days.
Instagram The singer revealed how she was “warned” by some not to tell her story as she would “pretty much be finished in whatever chances she has to make music publicly again” and she would be “scorned by the public”.She continued: “Another said I would be called selfish that the rapist is still at large.
Duffy then bravely told the story of the terrifying ordeal, which she endured for four weeks as she was taken to a foreign country and raped in a hotel room. “I could have been disposed of by him. I contemplated running away to the neighbouring city or town, as he slept, but had no cash and I was afraid he would call the police on me, for running away, and maybe they would track me down as a missing person.
Duffy then shockingly revealed how the perpetrator had mentioned killing her as she continued: “I knew my life was in immediate danger, he made veiled confessions of wanting to kill me. “I do not know why I was not drugged overseas; it leads me to think I was given a class A drug and he could not travel with it.”
