Dublin is ready for its annual St. Patrick's Day Parade, starting Saturday at 11:00 a.m. The parade, led by Grand Leprechaun Joe Fox, will feature 90 units and travel through Historic Dublin. Street closures are planned from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Drivers should plan accordingly, and attendees are encouraged to use alternative transportation.
A sea of green is set to fill the streets of Dublin as the community comes together for its annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday. The parade begins at 11:00 a.m., led by this year’s Grand Leprechaun, Joe Fox.
It will step off from Metro Center and wind through Historic Dublin, featuring about 90 units along the route. Organizers say the parade will go on rain or shine, with city officials only canceling in the event of severe weather. Drivers should also plan ahead. Several streets along and near the parade route will be closed to traffic or have limited access from about 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Parking is available around the route, including at Bridge Park and in parts of Historic Dublin. To help reduce congestion, the city is encouraging parade-goers to walk, bike, or carpool.
