MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development is considering a partnership with New Zealand on program digitalization and streamlining.
DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and New Zealand Ambassador to the Philippines Peter Kell met on Monday and discussed how to use the GovTech Accelerator Program, which is being run globally by the New Zealand-based Creative HQ.“The GovTech Accelerator helps government agencies and public servants to identify challenges and create a positive impact in their communities by introducing them to proven innovation principles and processes,” Gatchalian said in a statement Tuesday.
He also said he intends to create an artificial intelligence messaging platform through the GovTech Accelerator Program to respond to frequently asked inquiries from DSWD clients to avoid long lines and reduce waiting times.
