A late strike from Bongani Sam helped Maritzburg United battle back to secure a 1-1 draw against Sekhukhune United on Saturday night. SLInt MORE:
Maritzburg handed debuts to King Ndlovu, Sam, Bonginkosi Makume and Given Mashikinya while Sekhukhune also had a number of newcomers, including Daniel Cardoso, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya, Linda Mntambo, Victor Letsoalo and Tshegofatso Mabasa.
John Maduka's charges raised their game after that, as the continued to pin Sekhukhune in their own half but they lacked the final product. The hosts came to life again as they created chances but Sekhukhune kept on backpedalling, as they made a defensive change 20 minutes before time after Mabasa made way for Sello Motsepe.
