Chiefs were unchanged from the team that beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals, as the likes of upcoming stars Mduduzi Shabalala, Mfundo Vilakazi and Wandile Duba were in the line-up.
After a short stoppage midway through the first stanza, Vela Khumalo's charges quickly got into rhythm as Vilakazi dribbled his way towards goal and fired a strike that was was saved by goalkeeper Leigh Brandt. However, Vilakazi eventually got the breakthrough for the Glamour Boys just after that with a smashing strike into the top corner after cutting into his left foot in the box.
As the game opened from end to end, Chiefs put the game to bed in the last six minutes after Shabalala fired a strike home in the box from a rebound after Puso Dithejane's strike came off the post.
