Winds relax overnight and much of Friday's weather is calm with increasing cloud cover. A soaking rain is likely Saturday with much of the Susquehanna Valley picking up an inch of rain or more.
High pressure building over the Mid Atlantic relaxes the winds overnight as skies remain mostly clear to clear. May want to cover up or bring indoors flowers, sensitive vegetation that could could be harmed by the cold. Lows will fall to mid to 20s. Winds will drop to less than 5 miles per hour from the north-northeast. After a sunny, cold start Friday, look for increasing clouds by afternoon. Temperatures will be slightly warmer, near 50, and it won't be as windy.
Widespread light to moderate rain will be falling Saturday morning. The rain could be heavy at times by afternoon, especially east of the Susquehanna River, then rain will taper by evening. We'll get a good soaking from this system, 1 to 2', and isolated spots may get more than 2' in eastern Lancaster and Lebanon counties. Right now, flooding is not a concern but ponding water on roadways and small creeks and streams could be out of their banks.
