LUCENA CITY – A 65-year-old drunk man drowned on Sunday in a swimming pool in Antipolo City, Rizal province.
In a report, the Region 4A police said Salvador Damaguin, 65, who was under the influence of liquor, arrived at 3:25 p.m. at a resort in Barangay Dalig.Damaguin sat at the stair of the swimming pool under the lifeguard tower. A few minutes later the victim was spotted lying unconscious at the bottom of the pool.
Rescuers gave him emergency first aid and rushed him to the nearest hospital. He died at 7:15 p.m. while undergoing treatment.
