On Saturday, ADOC's K-9 unit received intelligence suggesting unauthorized individuals were attempting to gain access to the prison with the intent of smuggling illicit items. Two suspects were apprehended by ADOC officers, identified as Kemari Rashaun Green and Shaquan Laray Horton.
During a search of the suspects' vehicle, officers discovered substantial quantities of contraband, encompassing a variety of controlled substances. The seized items included marijuana, methamphetamine, assorted pills, fentanyl, along with other illicit materials such as knives, cell phones, and cash. Green and Horton were subsequently transported to the Elmore County Jail.They face a multitude of charges stemming from their alleged actions. These charges encompass trafficking in marijuana, methamphetamine, fentanyl, ecstasy, and hydrocodone. Additionally, they are accused of two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to commit a controlled substance crime, and promoting prison contraband in the first degree.
