A recent fall in NSW public transport patronage has been linked to the coronavirus outbreak in Melbourne, with scores of Sydneysiders opting to stay home amid fears of a second wave north of the border.Transport Minister Andrew Constance on Monday revealed patronage on the network had fallen by almost 10 per cent through July.
He added that he had noticed an anecdotal increase in the number of passengers wearing masks in Sydney.“We’re seeing people respond with masks, we’re seeing people respond with physical distancing.”
