The Houston Fire Department has announced the funeral arrangements for Marcelo “Ox” Garcia III, the firefighter who died in the line of duty late Wednesday night.

Garcia, 42, died late Wednesday night after responding to a three-alarm fire on Supply Row near Polk in Houston’s East End. A wall collapsed during the firefight, injuring Garcia and another firefighter.The Houston Fire Department shared that Garcia served with dedication for 10 years, the last six of which were with Station 23. His body will be escorted by HFD first responders from the medical examiner’s office to Forest Park Lawndale funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 10.
